Mikael Kingsbury

"My sport enables me to travel enormously. I love nature and the great outdoors, but I’m always happy to drop my bags in Montreal, which is my home base. I feel lucky that I’ll soon be calling Arbora home, in an area surrounded by greenery while still at the heart of the action in Griffintown. With quick access to the gym and a variety of surrounding businesses, I couldn’t ask for anything more!"

Mikaël Kingsbury is a Quebecois freestyle skier who competes in moguls.

He won the silver medal at the 2014 Sotchi Olympic Games and has 46 World Cup podium finishes to his name, including 28 wins in 57 tries. In 2015, Mikaël won his second world title, this time by winning dual moguls, in addition to a silver medal in moguls.

Maxim Roy

"Because I was raised on a farm, I’ve always valued the environment. That’s why I’m actively involved in Écosphère—I want to show people that doing simple things for the environment is easy and encourage them to modify their lifestyles. In the same spirit, I’ve chosen to adopt Arbora as a home because it was designed with the utmost respect for the environment. To me, the use of wood from our northern forests as a main building material is a major attraction."

A native of Rigaud, Maxim Roy is a Quebecois actor whose family—including brothers Gildor, Luc and Yvon—is very active in the arts.

She became a familiar face on the small screen for her roles in Au nom du père et du fils, Virginie, Le Dernier Chapitre, Tribu.com and O’ in addition to four Quebecois feature films. She has also performed in a number of English-language series, including ReGensis, which was picked up in 100 countries around the world and translated into 27 languages. Maxim is also a spokesperson for the Écosphère project.

Élodie Fleury

"Respect for the environment and appreciation for natural resources, such as boreal forest timber, are at the heart of Arbora’s DNA—that’s what really caught my attention. I am delighted to take part in this adventure and to act as an ambassador for Arbora because we share the same values. The space embodies exactly what I was looking for: innovation, authenticity and environmental responsibility."

A lawyer by trade, Élodie Fleury cut her teeth in Paris and New York before making a return to Montreal, where she now works in finance law for the National Bank.

In 2009, Élodie and her brother Mathieu founded Eau Matelo and set out to create a new type of bottled water from maple sap. Their product, De l’Aubier, is the world’s first still water originating from maple. In 2012, its first year of sales, the company distinguished itself by winning a number of awards in Quebec and abroad.
